(Oct. 14, 2010) Thanks for reading my blog about New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. We are located at 11 Hardscrabble Road in Bernardsville, and if you have never visited, you must stop by and check us out. You never know what you might discover on a hike through the fields, forest, and down by the Passaic River that runs through our 275-acre Sanctuary. Stop in our newly renovated building, and say hello to our friendly staff and volunteers at the Nature Store. They will give you a trail map and direct you to your chosen path. Trails are always open dawn til dusk, and the Store is open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, and closed on Mondays.
Not only do we have excellent trails and a Nature Store, but our experienced Teacher/Naturalists offer all sorts of family and adult programs from school field trips, birthday parties, teacher professional development workshops, digital photography workshops, scout programs, senior programs, birding trips, and more!
